We had a very comfortable stay. Our room was small which is fine for a short stay, we only felt the size because we had a LOT of luggage for a two week roadtrip, I don't remember now if there were larger rooms and we just chose the most affordable or if all rooms are small due to it being a city! Either way, it was clean and comfortable and the owners are really lovely. We appreciated the microwave and fridge too. Parking on site meant we could see and hear our car from our room which was a comfort to us as we had a nice hire car and SF is known for break ins. Our room was at the front overlooking the entrance from the main road but we found the noise to be OK, I sleep in earplugs but my husband doesn't and he had no issues. I'd recommend earplugs for those effected by any noise.

I’ve stayed at a number of Marina/Cow Hollow motels recently, and Seaside Inn is my favorite of the bunch. It’s no-frills, for sure, but they’ve been thoughtful about comfort with what they’ve got. The cleanliness is immaculate, the linens are nice, the carpet is clean—and yes, I want cozy, sound-dampening carpet flooring and not cheap laminate that other motels have been opting for. Fridge and microwave are in good condition, and the toiletries are nicer than most motels. The wi-fi is reliable, reasonably fast, and—if you’re a Roku user—doesn’t require a web portal. In fact, I got more done working in my room than at the office! Check-in is quick and no-nonsense, and the keycards are more robust than most other places.

I've stayed at several motels in the Lombard St./Marina/Union Street area, and Seaside Inn is (now) my #1 choice! Very good value for money spent. Nice, comfortable room with fast wifi. Good food options nearby (go to Ly's across the street for great Vietnamese food) and a Safeway supermarket is a few blocks away. This location is perfect for walks to Pacific Heights, the Golden Gate Bridge/Fort Point, Fisherman's Wharf, the crooked part of Lombard Street, and North Beach/Coit Tower. The manager/owner of the Seaside is kind and I appreciate that she does not allow any bad behavior/excess noise/trouble from guests. Looking forward to staying here again!

We'd just been travelling in a campervan for 6 weeks so this hotel was exactly what we needed. It was a small room but absolutely perfect for us and what we needed. Walking distance to Palace of Fine Arts, Fishermans Wharf, and the famous part of Lombard Street (all about 20 minutes). Super clean and cosy. We arrived hours early and wanted to leave hours late - the lady at check-in very kindly let us leave our bags so that we could make the most of our time.

the location was great, I had originally considered more central, more typical San Francisco street type location but Seaside Motel was walking distance to Fisherman's Wharf, Alcatraz departure pier, Lombard Street (which it is on), Palace of Arts and the water. Also not far from nice cute streets with coffee shops (Peets) and great bagel shop (Noah's). Friendly staff who welcomed us when we arrived late after flight delays.
